About

Welcome to the blog for my replay of the 1984 Major League Baseball season using Strat-o-Matic Baseball.

Trying to keep things at least somewhat manageable, I have decided to do a 64-game replay of the season using all 26 teams.

In the American League, each team will be playing 3 home games against each team in its own division and 2 home games against each team in their league’s other division.  This yields 36 total games within their division and 28 outside of it.

Over in the National League, each team will play 4 home games against each team in its own division and 2 home games against each team in their league’s other division.  This yields 40 total games within their division and 24 outside of it.

I play what you might call a “Modified Basic” version of Strat-o-Matic Baseball and for this particular season, which was not available in Super Advanced form, there are a few other wrinkles and twists that I am implementing.

I strive to make my replays interesting and fun to follow along with, even if you follow a team that plays .400 ball.

Hope you enjoy this trip into baseball history.
